Black American Bison Boot
Description
Black American Bison on a half-sole bottom — a heavy hide finished so that the grain still shows through the colour.
Bison hides are known for their heavier weight and distinctive grain, and the prominent pebble effect varies across the leather so that every cut is unique. This is not a printed grain: the pattern on each pair is individual and will vary. The article is tanned with a healthy amount of waxes and oils, which gives it a rich colour and a pull-up effect, and that distinct look and gutsy body make it a sound choice for Goodyear-welt boots. Seidel Tanning supplies the hide. Construction is Goodyear welted on the Leo last, with a 360º flat welt, full-grain kip leather lining, antique brass eyelets and speed hooks, vegetable-tanned leather at the insole, welt and midsole, cork filler over a steel shank and full-grain leather heel counters. Underneath is a Dr. Sole Supergrip half sole and heel, developed for this last — incredibly hard-wearing, in the classic half-sole silhouette.
In black the grain reads as texture rather than pattern, which makes it the most wearable bison boot here.
