Crimson Chromexcel Moc Toe Boot
Description
Crimson Chromexcel on the moc toe pattern, where the hand-sewn seam across the vamp gives the colour something to break over.
The toe is hand-sewn onto a one-piece vamp, and the boot sits on the Floyd last: the locked-in heel control of the range, with higher toe box walls so the forefoot has freedom. Horween tans the Chromexcel in Chicago. It is incredibly resilient and full of character, and the hot-stuffed tannage's natural oils and waxes create the pull-up effect and the supple feel. It is Goodyear welted with a 360º split-reverse welt, lined in full-grain kip leather, closed with antique brass eyelets and speed hooks, and built over vegetable-tanned insole, welt and midsole with cork filler, a steel shank and full-grain leather heel counters. The lug sole is made for harsher conditions.
Crimson on a moc toe is a warmer, rounder boot than the plain toe version of the same leather. It suits an informal outfit and a bad forecast equally.
