Espresso is the dark end of this chukka, and on suede a deep brown behaves almost like a black without any of the severity.
Like its lighter siblings, the boot is made from a single piece of supple suede, Janus Butt from Charles F. Stead, and it is unlined. The absence of a lining is what makes it exceptionally lightweight and breathable, and what allows the boot to mould to the foot for a custom fit that improves with every wear. The butyl leather outsole is oil-dipped for flexibility. Goodyear welted on the Leo last with a 360º split-reverse welt, blind eyelets, vegetable-tanned leather insole, welt and outsole, cork filler over a steel shank.
The dark tone makes this the dressiest of the three. It handles chinos comfortably and jeans easily, and it is the one to pick if you want a timeless chukka.
