Color No. 8 is the burgundy that reads almost brown in low light, and on a plain toe boot it does the talking without raising its voice.
The uppers, lining and insole are leather and that is the whole material list. The Chromexcel comes from Horween, the lining is full-grain kip leather, and the boot is Goodyear welted on the Leo last with a 360º flat welt. Antique brass eyelets and speed hooks run up the face, vegetable-tanned leather forms the insole, welt and midsole, cork filler sits over a steel shank, and full-grain leather heel counters hold the back. The micro stud rubber outsole is medium-density and built for all seasons.
A boot this colour is easier to wear than it looks on a screen. Keep the rest plain and let the tone shift as the light does.
