Husk Repello Suede Chelsea Boot
Description
A Chelsea in husk suede — the softest-looking boot in the range on the pattern that asks the least of you to put on.
The suede is Repello calf from Charles F. Stead. Variations of the Chelsea have been a staple worldwide for nearly two centuries: the pattern dates to the early 1800s as a riding boot, which earned it the Paddock boot name, and it became the Chelsea only in the mid-1900s, after a district in southwest London. It carries across categories easily — dressed up or down, and in some parts of the world a preferred style for work boots, given the closed pattern and slip-on practicality. The goal here was a balance between the Western and the refined look, and it will serve as a work-horse or a daily commuter, built from strong, proven components chosen for longevity. The UK last fits half a size large with a fuller fit throughout. Goodyear-welt construction, double-sided gore, a 360º flat welt, full-grain kip leather lining, vegetable-tanned insole, welt and midsole, cork filler over a steel shank, full-grain leather heel counters and a micro stud rubber outsole.
Husk is pale and warm and will darken where your hands go. Size down a half.
